Lanterns vary in their capacity to hold fuel depending on the lantern design. The larger lanterns, such as our Vermont 16" kerosene lantern, hold up to six ounces of fuel and the smaller lanterns hold between four ounces (Wall-Table Lantern) and eight ounces (Tavern) proportionately. Vermont Oil Lanterns are designed to be very fuel efficient, so if there is ever a question of shortages of lantern fuel, you will be glad you own a Vermont Oil Lantern. One quart of standard lantern fuel (be it kerosene or lamp oil) will last you up to two weeks under normal usage.
